Seventh Sunday of Easter
Pray for Palestine
COLLECT
Triune God, Jesus prayed that we might be one:
help us to transcend our differences and find our unity in Jesus Christ our Lord;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen
READING: Acts 1: 15-17, 21-26
23 So they proposed two men: Joseph, who was called Barsabbas (also known as Justus), and Matthias.
24 Then they prayed, “Lord, you know the thoughts of everyone, so show us which of these two you have chosen
25 to serve as an apostle in the place of Judas, who left to go to the place where he belongs.”
26 Then they drew lots to choose between the two men, and the one chosen was Matthias, who was added to the group of eleven apostles.
GOSPEL ACCORDING TO John 17: 6-19
13 But now I am coming to you, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy made complete in themselves.
14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
15 I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
16 They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
Prayer in the time of COVID
Author of life Saviour of the nations
COVID is humbling, your grace is sufficient.
The deaths, we mourn;
For the recoveries, we give thanks;
The compassionate care, we applaud;
For the vaccines, we are grateful;
For compliance, we plead;
For the common good, we pray;
In the healing name of Jesus. Amen

Go now. Christ sends you into the world
just as he himself was sent into the world.
Delight in the Lord’s teaching,
testify to his resurrection life,
and share in the ministry of his people;
And the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, be among us, and remain with us always. Amen
