9th Sunday after Pentecost
COLLECT
Glorious God,
you shower creation with abundance:
awaken in us a hunger for food that satisfies,
that in the miracle of being fed
we will be empowered
to feed the hungry in Jesus’ name;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.

GRANT US COURAGE TO FACE OUR TRIAL
WISDOM TO FIND RELIEF
FAITH TO LIVE RESPONSIBLY
AND GRANT US YOUR SALVATION
FOR JESUS CHRIST SAKE
COMMISSION AND BLESSING
Go now into the world, strengthened by the gifts
with which Christ has fed you.
Be generous to others, for Christ has given extravagantly.
Live by God’s word, avoiding lies and violence.
Walk in God’s paths and never stray
And may God’s wonderful love be with you everywhere;
May Christ Jesus feed you with his body and word;
And may the Holy Spirit confirm the truth in you
and fill you with God’s presence always.
Now go into the world with confidence, trusting that Christ is walking with you.
